Video production proposal template

Video budgets are easy to misread because most of the work happens before and after the shoot day. This template prices pre-production, the shoot and post-production as separate stages and adds social cutdowns, so the client sees where the time goes.

What your client receives

This is the page your client opens from your email, drawn exactly as PropoBox sends it. Your name, logo and client replace the placeholders; the prices are examples to replace with your own.

How to scope and price it

  • Define the shoot day in hours, crew and locations. "Up to 10 hours at one location" stops a second location from becoming a free extra.
  • State the length of the final film. A 60 to 90 second edit and a five-minute edit are different jobs.
  • List what is quoted separately (travel, talent, locations, extra days), so the client budgets for it early.

The terms, and why

Taking half to book the shoot date protects a day you turn other work away for. Archiving raw footage for six months answers a request that usually arrives long after delivery.

Payment
