Web design proposal template

Most web design proposals lose deals in the same two places: a scope the client cannot picture, and a price with nothing next to it. This template splits the project into four stages the client can follow, each with what is included, so the number makes sense before they reach it.

What your client receives

This is the page your client opens from your email, drawn exactly as PropoBox sends it. Your name, logo and client replace the placeholders; the prices are examples to replace with your own.

How to scope and price it

  • Price discovery as its own line. It is the stage clients most often want to skip, and a separate line makes clear that the page list and content plan are part of the work.
  • Cap the page count in the line item (up to 8 pages here), so extra pages become a new quote rather than a dispute.
  • Keep launch and training separate. It is small, but it shows the client that redirects and handover are handled.
  • If the content is not ready, say so in the terms. Copywriting is excluded here on purpose.

The terms, and why

Half upfront and half on completion protects both sides on a six-week project. Two revision rounds per stage keeps feedback focused, and the ownership line answers the question clients ask late: who owns the site.
