Clients accept a quote faster when they can see what each line buys. Split the job into items they can picture, and a number that looks high stops being a single scary figure.
Materials, rates and your calendar change. A validity date (30 days is common) lets you decline to honour last month's price without an argument.
Most disputes are about something the client assumed was covered. One sentence in the notes (travel, permits, hosting, disposal) removes the surprise from the final invoice.
Say how much starts the work and when the rest is due. A deposit also filters out clients who were only price-shopping.
